City University of Hong Kong (CityU) gave a warm welcome to a delegation of top government officials and education experts from the Russian Federation during a visit on 25 January. The 9-member Russian delegation was led by Mr Alexander Povalko (second from right), Deputy Minister of Education and Science, and Mr Vladimir Zelensky, Director of Department of Budgetary Policy in the Sectors of Social Sphere and Science of the Ministry of Finance.
Professor Arthur Ellis (middle), Provost of CityU, who was joined by Professor Lu Jian (first from left), Dean of the College of Science and Engineering, and Dr David Cheng Xing, Associate Vice-President (Mainland and External Relations), exchanged views with the visitors on how to enhance university competitiveness and educate global leaders in innovation.
